"The Greatest Things on Earth"

Let me share a dream I had last night. You know how dreams can be, they're clear as a bell while you're having them and even right afterward when you wake up and contemplate them--then they fade away really quickly. Anyway, this is what I remember now.

I was told there was a place to find "The Greatest Things on Earth" and it was not to be missed.

When I got there, I saw a large container being filled with packages by other people who were there to identify and store away the "thing" they considered to be the "Greatest Thing on Earth". They were all being careful to position them so as to not waste ANY valuable space in the container.

I was having a lot trouble deciding what to put into this container and I was getting desperate because the container was filling up quickly and I didn't want to miss my chance to put my selection into it. Then, before I knew it, the container was full and was closed up.

At that point, an interesting thing happened. Another empty container appeared. I then noticed that it was only the next in a VERY long line of containers that had already been filled.

I also realized then that EVERYONE has something that they consider to be worthy of the "Greatest Thing on Earth" designation and that we aren't really limited to ONE single thing either. We all have "things" in our life that we treasure whether it be a material item of value (like a boat or jewelry or something) or something emotional (like the love of family or nature) or something spiritual (like a testimony). In addition, I realized that we all get to choose what things we will value above all other things, and that we aren't limited as to what or how many they will be.

Anyway, let me take this opportunity to encourage you to take time occasionally to identify those things that you consider the "Greatest Thing on Earth" and remember how grateful you are for them.

I can honestly say that I have never had a dream be that insightful. Thank you for helping me remember what in my life I consider "the greatest thing on earth."

Cheryl,

Ditto. I have never even had a dream close to this insightful. My dreams are way messed up. I am sure you are all surprised because I am so insightful...you don't have to answer that.
