I've been published...

Today, I've had my first limerick published as part of The Omnificent English Dictionary In Limerick Form. I have another awaiting final approval but this one is the first one published.

acri-, acrid by SirGerald (Limerick #52315)

Prefix acri- means sharp and/or sour.
Acrid words cause the timid to cower.
Their effects can be seen
Around those who are mean,
So great care should be used with this power.

Congratulations! That's awesome. Although, of all the words I have no idea why you chose that one. :) Can't wait to hear your next one.

They are only allowing words from "A" to the middle "D"s and they have a list of words that still lack a limerick. I just picked the prefix "acri-" from that list and went from there.

It's kind of fun, but their reviewers and approvers are a lot more picky than you might think.
